Luke 10:5-9

5. "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' 6. If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. 7. Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. 8. "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. 9Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'"

James 1:22,23

22. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror

2 Thessalonians 1:11

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you that our God may count you worth of his calling and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.

1 Timothy 2: 1-8

1. I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2. for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4. who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6. who gave himself as a ransom for all men — the testimony given in its proper time. 7And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle — I am telling the truth, I am not lying — and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles. 8. I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
