What is Command Two?
Mission Statement
To develop a community of people who will demonstrate Christ-likeness where
they live and work.
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of this ministry is...
- To reach the community for Christ through prayer evangelism based on Luke 10.
- To lift each person in our community up in prayer daily.
- To be a non-denominational, Christ-based prayer and service evangelistic body,
called by God to serve wherever we are, as stated in James 1:22.
- To be proactive in building relationships in the workplace, in neighborhoods,
and in schools.
- To be a body that emphasizes teaching, training, participationg, and implanting
of the power of prayer in reaching the lost for Christ. See 2 Thessalonians 1:11, 1 Timothy 2:1-8.
- To be a body that actively pursues what is in the heart of God.
- "That none should perish, but that all should come to repentance." From 2 Peter 3:9.
Objectives
The objectives of the Command Two ministry are...
- To encourage people at home, or at work, or in their schools to minister and pray where they are. Every day we are in an envirionment where we have an opportunity to co-labor with Christ to impact the kingdom of God. To express love, grace, and mercy as Christ did through prayer evangelism in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools.
- To bless and affirm the body of Christ and acknowledge their annointed ministry in the workplace. Your work is your ministry."Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." (Col 3:23) "But you are a chosen race, a royal Priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:9)
- To network a community of people who will work together to bring encouragement through testimonies and stories of what God has done and gather to pray as the corporate body of Christ, on behalf of the community.
- To co-labor with the nuclear church to strengthen and encourage the workplace people in the community. There is a freedom that comes when believers understand that they are serving God where they work. By blessing, releasing, and empowering them, they joyfully fulfill their callings and do what God has ordained them to do.
We also have a page devoted to prayer evangelism which may help answer more of your questions.
